About Forget Knot

Welcome to Forget Knot, a space born from personal loss, deep love, and the quiet strength that comes with learning to carry both. I am Stacy, the founder of Forget Knot. I began this journey after losing my dad to Young Onset Dementia and Posterior Cortical Atrophy. His decline was devastating, and so was the silent grief that came before he was even gone. I experienced the long, layered ache of anticipatory grief, and after his passing, I stepped into a wave of losses that followed. What I came to know was this: grief doesn’t follow one path. It weaves itself around us in complex, invisible ways. Before Forget Knot, I spent years working with children and their caregivers; creating safe, encouraging spaces for them to explore their emotions, express themselves, and feel supported. That work, paired with my own experiences, deepened my belief that healing needs to be nurtured across all ages. Nature has also been one of my greatest teachers. Trees, roots, wildflowers, water, and birds all find their way into my work as reminders that we can grow from our roots, adapt to each season, and still find beauty after loss. Forget Knot was created to be a place where compassion, connection, and resilience are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you are a child, a caregiver, family member, or a friend walking alongside someone you love, you belong here. This is a space for compassion. A space for connection. A space to grow forward towards resilience; gently, and together.
