Little Roots
Growing resilience and remembrance through children’s grief resources.
Grief can feel big and confusing for children, especially when they don’t have the words to express what’s in their hearts. Little Roots is a place for parents, caregivers, and educators to find gentle, age-appropriate tools to help young children understand grief and navigate loss.
The resources in Little Roots are designed to:
Help children understand loss in ways they can process
Encourage healthy emotional expression through play, art, and mindfulness
Keep loved ones’ memories alive in meaningful ways
Support connection between children and their trusted adults during grief
Little Roots Products and Resources:
Storytelling Tools – Including my upcoming children’s book, Galaxy of Memories, which explores love and memory, through empathy, compassion, and resilience
Mindfulness and Creative Activity Kits – Play-based exercises to help children name, express, and release emotions
Memory-Keeping Activities – Ways for children to honor and remember loved ones through art and creativity
Conversation Starter Cards – Separate sets for ages 3–5 and 6–8 to help adults guide age-appropriate grief conversations
At Forget Knot, we understand that by giving children the tools to understand and express their grief, we’re helping them grow strong, resilient roots that will carry them through life.
